Supporting young deaf children

Date

A full school classroom in Ghana, some children with their hands in the air

The majority of deaf children in Ghana are born into hearing families without histories of deafness, making support and communication a serious challenge. Researchers have developed educational resources and research capacity for deaf children and their caregivers in Ghana, transforming their lives.

When deaf adults get involved with the education of children, it motivates those children. And when parents and caregivers see that those adults have been successful, it inspires them.
